Overlayfs is following redirects even when redirects are disabled. If this
is unintentional (probably the majority of cases) then this can be a
problem. E.g. upper layer comes from untrusted USB drive, and attacker
crafts a redirect to enable read access to otherwise unreadable
directories.
If "redirect_dir=off", then turn off following as well as creation of
redirects. If "redirect_dir=follow", then turn on following, but turn off
creation of redirects (which is what "redirect_dir=off" does now).
This is a backward incompatible change, so make it dependent on a config
option.

Due to overlap between
commit 1281103770 ("mac80211: Simplify locking in ieee80211_sta_tear_down_BA_sessions()")
and the way that Luca modified
commit 72e2c3438b ("mac80211: tear down RX aggregations first")
when sending it upstream from Intel's internal tree, we get
the following warning:

problem at hand.
Move the locking appropriately to fix this problem.

It's possible for ext4_get_acl() to return an ERR_PTR. So we need to
add a check for this case in __ext4_new_inode(). Otherwise on an
error we can end up oops the kernel.
This was getting triggered by xfstests generic/388, which is a test
which exercises the shutdown code path.

Commit adfa543e73 ("dmatest: don't use set_freezable_with_signal()")
introduced a bug (that is in fact documented by the patch commit text)
that leaves behind a dangling pointer. Since the done_wait structure is
allocated on the stack, future invocations to the DMATEST can produce
undesirable results (e.g., corrupted spinlocks).
Commit a9df21e34b ("dmaengine: dmatest: warn user when dma test times
out") attempted to WARN the user that the stack was likely corrupted but
did not fix the actual issue.
This patch fixes the issue by pushing the wait queue and callback
structs into the the thread structure. If a failure occurs due to time,
dmaengine_terminate_all will force the callback to safely call
wake_up_all() without possibility of using a freed pointer.

sign_extend32 counts the sign bit parameter from 0, not from 1. So we
have to use "11" for 12th bit, not "12".
This mistake means we have not allowed negative op and cmp args since

Historically, the XFS iomap_begin function only returned mappings for
exactly the range queried, i.e. it doesn't do XFS_BMAPI_ENTIRE lookups.
The current vfs iomap consumers are only set up to deal with trimmed
mappings. xfs_xattr_iomap_begin does BMAPI_ENTIRE lookups, which is
inconsistent with the current iomap usage. Remove the flag so that both
iomap_begin functions behave the same way.
FWIW this also fixes a behavioral regression in xattr FIEMAP that was
introduced in 4.8 wherein attr fork extents are no longer trimmed like
they used to be.

Commit 4675ff05de ("kmemcheck: rip it out") has removed the code but
for some reason SPDX header stayed in place. This looks like a rebase
mistake in the mmotm tree or the merge mistake. Let's drop those

The macro used to access or set an RSS table entry was using an offset
of 8, while it should use an offset of 0. This lead to wrongly configure
the RSS table, not accessing the right entries.

Use meminfo to identify the egress and ingress context regions and
fetch all valid contexts from those regions. Also flush all contexts
before attempting collection to prevent stale information.

Collect memory layout of various on-chip memory regions. Move code
for collecting on-chip memory information to cudbg_lib.c and update
cxgb4_debugfs.c to use the common function. Also include
cudbg_entity.h before cudbg_lib.h to avoid adding cudbg entity
structure forward declarations in cudbg_lib.h.

veth and GSO maximums
This is the more general way to solving the issue of GSO limits
not being set correctly for containers on Azure. If a GSO packet
is sent to host that exceeds the limit (reported by NDIS), then
the host is forced to do segmentation in software which has noticeable
performance impact.
The core rtnetlink infrastructure already has the messages and
infrastructure to allow changing gso limits. With an updated iproute2
the following already works:
# ip li set dev dummy0 gso_max_size 30000
These patches are about making it easier with veth.

When new veth is created, and GSO values have been configured
on one device, clone those values to the peer.
For example:
# ip link add dev vm1 gso_max_size 65530 type veth peer name vm2
This should create vm1 <--> vm2 with both having GSO maximum
size set to 65530.

Netlink device already allows changing GSO sizes with
ip set command. The part that is missing is allowing overriding
GSO settings on device creation.

There is nothing that says that number of TX queues == number of RX
queues. E.g. the ARTPEC-6 SoC has 2 TX queues and 1 RX queue.
This code is obviously wrong:

Since each DMA channel can be used for rx and tx simultaneously,
the current code should probably be rewritten so that napi_struct is
embedded in a new struct stmmac_channel.
That way, stmmac_poll() can call stmmac_tx_clean() on just the tx queue
where we got the IRQ, instead of looping through all tx queues.
This is also how the xgbe driver does it (another driver for this IP).

Create two targets to remove executable and documentation that would
have been previously installed with `make install` and `make
doc-install`.
Also create a "QUIET_UNINST" helper in tools/scripts/Makefile.include.
Do not attempt to remove directories /usr/local/sbin and
/usr/share/bash-completions/completions, even if they are empty, as
those specific directories probably already existed on the system before
we installed the program, and we do not wish to break other makefiles
that might assume their existence. Do remvoe /usr/local/share/man/man8
if empty however, as this directory does not seem to exist by default.
