Some BiDi modules (eg, FiberStore SFP-GE-BX) are not compliant with 1000BASE-BX as they use different wavelengths from the 1000BASE-BX standard (eg, 1310nm/1550nm rather than 1310nm/1490nm). These modules support 1000BASE-X ethernet, so detect them by a failure to find any other support, the 8B10B encoding and a bit rate that falls within the 1Gbps window. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
