The UINT_MAX comparison is not needed because "max" is already an unsigned int, and we expect developer C code max value input to have a sensible 0 - UINT_MAX range. Note that if it so happens to be UINT_MAX + 1 it would lead to an issue, but we expect the developer to know this. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``.
